Recipient Agreement
This agreement applies to every Parcharak who receives contributions through ParcharPay.
1. Independent status
You are an independent service provider. ParcharPay is not your employer, agent, principal, or joint venturer. Nothing on the platform creates an employment, partnership, franchise, or fiduciary relationship between you and ParcharPay.
2. Taxes, permits, and compliance
You are solely responsible for:
- Reporting and paying all taxes on contributions and booking payments received (income tax, GST/VAT, self-employment or equivalent);
- Any registrations, permits, insurance, or visas required to perform services in your jurisdiction; and
- Complying with local religious, charitable-fundraising, and consumer-protection laws.
3. Availability and bookings
You control your own schedule, quoted amounts, deposit levels, and cancellation practices. You must respond to booking requests in good faith and, once a quote is accepted and deposit paid, use reasonable efforts to honour the booking or provide fair notice if you cannot.
4. Honest representation
You agree that you will not:
- Impersonate another person, Jatha, Gurdwara, or organisation;
- Misrepresent your credentials, ordination, affiliations, or authority;
- Claim charitable, DGR, or tax-deductible status you do not hold; or
- Use images, names, or biographies without the right to do so.
5. Use of funds
Contributions received via ParcharPay must not be used for any unlawful purpose, including fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions evasion, or tax evasion. If you collect funds on behalf of a specific purpose (e.g. a Jatha, seva project, or event), you must apply them substantially to that stated purpose.
6. Conduct
You must treat Sangat with respect and act in accordance with basic standards of safety and dignity. Harassment, abuse, discrimination, or exploitation of Sangat — particularly minors and vulnerable persons — is grounds for immediate termination and referral to authorities.
7. Suspension and termination
ParcharPay may suspend or terminate your account, revoke verification, freeze pending payouts, and report activity to Stripe or law enforcement if we reasonably suspect any breach of this agreement, our Terms of Service, or applicable law. See our Terms of Service for the full framework.
